Overview

Now in its fifth year, Best Foot Forward (a.k.a. BFF) is a fundraising campaign organised by NTU's University Advancement Office (UAO). The event aims to unite the OneNTU community through fitness and philanthropy.

For Best Foot Forward 2026, UAO continues to collaborate with the NTU Runners' Club for the fourth time and feature their signature "X Campus Run" as the onsite flag-off event, officially launching the campaign.

Everyone is welcome to join in the virtual race (run and cycle) and X Campus Run, including NTU students, staff and faculty, alumni and members of the public.

The campaign aims to raise funds for various university causes while encouraging the OneNTU community and their supporters to stay healthy and active.

Participants are invited to register with a minimum donation of S$30, which can go towards either the NTU Bursary or the NTU School Advancement Funds. NTU students can join with a reduced minimum donation of S$10.

All donations are eligible for a 250% tax deduction. To qualify, please provide your NRIC/FIN number during the registration process.

X Campus Run, held on NTU campus, is the flagship event of NTU Runners' Club that is open to NTU students, faculty, staff and alumni. Runners can choose from two routes. The 7km competitive route pounds the university's terrain to test participants' stamina. Alternatively, a shorter 3km route is available for recreational runners. Come hang out with us for an enjoyable Friday evening to exercise and socialise.
A virtual cycle allows participants to cycle anywhere in the world, at their own convenience, while contributing their distance and efforts to meaningful causes within NTU. Whether it's a leisurely ride around your neighbourhood or a long-distance route, simply record your completed distance in kilometres and log it on your Best Foot Forward account.

Participants who sign up by 30 January 2026 are eligible for both the physical run (X Campus Run) and the virtual run for the same amount of donation. Distance completed in the X Campus Run will be automatically added to the virtual run distance.

Fundraising
NTU aims to provide our students with an equal opportunity to pursue a fulfilling education. Over the years, we have raised funds from various sources, including your generous donations. This helps to reduce reliance on public funding and ensure that we continue to assist our needy students.
After registering, you will have your own fundraising page which you can share with your family and friends via your social media. Your supporters can go to your virtual race participant's page to make their donations in support of your cause.

Your profile information will show the distance category that you have signed up for and the donation amount that you have fundraised to date. You may log in to view your profile page.

Alternatively, you can view the amount that you have fundraised by searching for your name or team name on the fundraising leaderboard.
All funds raised will be channelled towards the fund you donated to at the point of registration (i.e. NTU Bursary or NTU School Advancement Funds). No refund of donations will be made.
You do not have to fundraise from your family and friends if you do not wish to. During registration, simply indicate "Your Target Fundraising Amount" as S$30 or S$10 (for NTU Students) which you would have already raised when making a donation to sign up for the race. If you change your mind and decide to fundraise from your network to support the causes, you can log in to your account to change your target fundraising amount.

Donations from Best Foot Forward will go towards an NTU cause of your choice:

NTU Bursary Fund to support students in need of financial support.

Donations made to support the causes of this run cannot be withdrawn.
